We are staffing a NEW Interfacility Transport team to transport our patients between our 4 Free Standing Emergency Departments and our 2 facilities, Trident Hospital and Summerville Hospital. We are growing our fleet with NEW state-of-the-art ambulances.
We have multiple EMT and Paramedic positions available, both night and day shift available. Plus we are adding PRN staff beginning in February.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The Interfacility Transport Paramedic will operate on the Interfacility Transport Team (IFT). The primary duty of the Interfacility Transport Paramedic will be the safe and effective treatment and transport of patients on the Interfacility Transport ambulance. The Interfacility Transport Paramedic will respond to EMS Call-Center requests, prioritize patient care, coordinate with other healthcare providers, and facilitate transport appropriately.
As needed, the Interfacility Transport Paramedic will function within the free-standing Emergency Departments and the main Emergency Department. While working in the Emergency Department, the Interfacility Transport Paramedic will collect and convey information to both their team members and the attending Physician regarding the health status of patients.

- Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic or a Certificate of program completion in EMT/Paramedic is required.
- South Carolina Paramedic license required
- 1 year of experience as a field Paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Spt
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
- PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt
- Drivers License with clean driving record
- EVOC-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
