Overview
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent service to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a strong commitment to safety and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers within designated routes and schedules
- Verify delivery orders for accuracy and completeness before dispatching
- Load and unload items efficiently, ensuring proper handling and secure placement during transit
- Obtain signatures or proof of delivery from customers upon completion of each delivery
- Maintain the cleanliness and routine maintenance of the delivery vehicle
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or accidents promptly to management
Skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent navigation skills with familiarity using GPS devices or mapping apps
- Strong time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Good communication skills for interacting professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy packages (up to 50 pounds) repeatedly throughout shifts
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures is preferred but not required
