The Boeing Companyis currently seekingExperienced Software Engineers–Test & Verificationto support ourExperimental Systems Group (ESG) Flight Software (FSW) Test & VerificationteamlocatedinSeal Beach, California.This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.
This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in systems integration, enjoy working close to hardware and mission operations, and are passionate about building rigorous test frameworks that ensure reliability, performance, and safety for aerospace systems. You will design, implement, andmaintainautomated test frameworks and verification tools for flight software. You will author test plans and procedures, build simulation- and hardware-in-the-loop environments, and develop automated pipelines thatvalidaterequirements, interfaces, and performance across integration, lab, and operational settings. You will collaborate with systems, flight software, and integration/test teams to translate requirements and interface control documents (ICDs) into executable verification strategies with clear pass/fail criteria, traceability, and evidence. You will write unit/integration/system tests; contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and documentation; and deliver concise, actionable test reports for stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and completes test and verification of software products to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality.
Partners with stakeholders to review andidentifysoftware requirements, testobjectives, test strategies, and testability.
Sets up and configures test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments.
Executes test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems,identifyingand reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes.
Creates, documents, andmaintainstest plans, procedures, cases, artifacts, metrics, and datain accordance withdata privacy and security protocols and standards.
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
Ability toestablishtest requirements from supporting documentation, test plans, internal and external customers. Knowledge of domestic and international regulations (e.g.FAA, DOD, and NASA regulations) on the certification of test articles/vehicles to assure compliance of design.
Knowledge of verification, validation, certification and qualification processes and procedures, including knowledge of governing regulations and compliance requirements. Ability to assess and document test or analysis data to show compliance.
Knowledge ofappropriate customeror governmental regulations relevant to design, test, and certification (e.g., Part 25, MILSPEC).
Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issuesimpactingdesign, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
Knowledge of how to derive andallocaterequirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle.
Ability to design and develop automation of software tests, execute automated tests, track results, manage test data, andutilizeresults to improve software quality.
Knowledge of implementation of software test frameworks,toolsand simulations. Knowledge of internal and external software test frameworks, architectures, bestpracticesand application in industry.
Knowledge of software practices (e.g., configuration control, change management, problem reporting, software design, peer review, testing, and T&E specific practices), programming languages, operating systems and computing technology applicable to laboratory and flight test systems, including real-time, non-real-time, network-centric, monitoring and control applications.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary payrange:$112,200 - $151,800
