Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.

Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.

Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.

Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts, spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of information, and key metrics.

Develop strategic plan for factory space, manpower, equipment and automation.
-
Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion, manufacturing technology insertion, infrastructure improvements, obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new capabilities.

Partner with other functions to manage projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of factory equipment, and/or add new capability.

Lead analyses to support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses.

Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.

Partner with Industrial Engineering across Raytheon to harmonize tools & processes
-
Industrial Engineering tool development & sustainment
-
Command Media creation & sustainment
-
Provide training support for Industrial Engineering and CORE methods

Support of offsite IE requests (domestic & international)
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Experience with Microcircuit manufacturing in a wafer fabrication environment
-
Experience executing Operations real-time capacity, Long Range Planning and scenario planning analysis

Experience with CAD software to develop factory layouts (ie. AutoCAD)
-
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma/CORE in a manufacturing environment

ONSITE Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities and requires spending significant amounts of time in and around factory areas.
This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
