Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our team as the Global Director of Marketing at CPC Headquarters, based in Arden Hills and a secondary manufacturing facility in Roseville, MN. Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing and Engineering at PSG, the Global Director of Marketing leads the marketing function for CPC, in a highly matrixed organization, ensuring that the overall CPC company strategy, and the unique strategies of each business unit, are considered as we generate awareness, capture leads, and drive demand globally in a vast array of channels and applications. The director is the key brand advocate across all media, channels and platforms. Building personas, using written, oral and visual stories, and applying market knowledge and business acumen, the position is a leader in collaborating with key stakeholders in creating and deploying content, and developing campaigns that resonate with customers and prospects while ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all segments. The director mentors and coaches managers and their teams to leverage best practices and use data to achieve established goals and operational excellence. Through change management and planning, this role stays ahead of industry norms and sets the pace for marketing excellence and innovation at CPC, coordinating those achievements with a diverse set of stakeholders including business leaders, product managers, inside sales, customer service, operations and fulfillment, IT, and external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure marketing strategy and plans are aligned with business strategy across all business units and channels, including digital channels, trade shows & events, and occasional print on owned/paid/earned platforms to amplify brand awareness and generate leads to achieve CPC sales and marketing objectives.
- Inspire and empower the global teams that generate content and define the brand across multiple market segments, including market-segment-focused Marketing Communications and sales enablement pods, an in-house creative team, an events/tradeshow team, and partner agencies.
- Translate strategy into actionable and effective marketing activities; be the Brand Keeper in a dynamic environment that requires segment and product differentiation.
- Develop guidelines, drive improvements and ensure innovation within the marketing functions; identify, apply and maintain best practices.
- Drive and support business strategies with infrastructure, brand standards, shared resources, common tools, disciplined processes, and outside agencies where it makes sense; collaborate with and influence business units and product teams with VOC, best practices and transfer of marketing knowledge.
- Partner with Business Unit Marketing, Inside Sales, Field Sales, and other stakeholders to develop relevant content and activities at all funnel stages that accelerate sales cycles, improve win rates, and help retain and expand existing customer engagements.
- Leads and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Coaches team members for career growth and performance optimization.
- Successfully manage and embrace change to continuously improve our desired results and outcomes.
- Champion and secure results and budget tracking, measurement and reporting in collaboration with Marketing Operations and Finance functions.
- Lead the global recruitment, hiring and training practices for managers and team members to elevate and celebrate the contributions of current and new-hire professionals.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- 15+ years of progressive responsibility managing global B2B marketing teams and partner agencies.
- Demonstrated success establishing integrated marketing strategies and tactics.
- Creative storyteller with a practiced eye for design; able to synthesize strategy and situations into a concise plan of action and relevant messaging.
- Established reputation for planning, metric development, analysis, and project management.
- Skilled in brand advocacy and influencing change.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Operating familiarity with the marketing tech stack for Content Management (such as Adobe Experience Manager), Marketing Automation Platforms (such as Marketo), and CRM functionality (such as SFDC) along with project management software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Sense of urgency to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- This role may require 25% of travel, domestically/internationally. Candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel as needed to support business objectives.
Preferred Skills:
- MBA, or Masters in Communications or similar line of study.
- Experience marketing direct and through distribution partners.
- Experience marketing highly engineered products to diverse market segments.
- Ability to work and lead in a highly matrixed organization.
