The Pratt & Whitney Quality organization is seeking an energetic, entry level contributor to support the East Hartford Hollow Fan Blade MCL Laboratory Group. The MCL Laboratory Group is responsible for chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical testing for validation to blueprint and specification requirements of various aerospace materials and finished parts.
What you will do:
Lab Tech responsible for metallurgical sample preparation, evaluation, disposition and quality documentation of materials/processes. Interpret blue prints, specifications, procedures and laboratory manuals to assess what testing is required and conformance to requirements. Interact with the shop to help respond to metallurgical problems and develop effective root cause and corrective action as appropriate. An effective team player and contributor is sought who will help the lab maintain it’s EH&S and operating requirements to assure a safe and productive working environment.

Perform analyses related to the evaluation of aerospace materials for compliance to standards.

Possess a strong work ethic; the ability to work independently, and prioritize work flow, is critical.

Provide clear, concise, and accurate lab reports.

Interact effectively with customers at all levels.
Qualifications you must have:

HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with less than 2 years of relevant experience

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 38,500 USD - 67,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
