Compensation Details for Bamako Assignment
Employees assigned to Bamako will receive a 55% pay increase for the first 40 hours worked each week. This significant boost in compensation is designed to reflect the unique opportunities and requirements of the location. Additionally, lodging and meals and incidental expenses (M&IE) per diem are included as part of the benefits package, ensuring comprehensive support for those relocating to Bamako.

Job Summary:
Amentum is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpenter with an active TS/SCI clearance to support specialized construction projects, particularly within Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the installation of SHW hardware, X-10 locks, STC-rated doors, closers, frames, drywall, finish work, carpet, ceiling tiles, and grid systems. This position requires advanced knowledge of SCIF standards and the ability to work efficiently in a secured construction setting, ensuring all installations align with strict security and acoustic requirements.
This role involves OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) work and requires a commitment to a 60-hour work week. Hours will be 10-hour days, Friday through Wednesday. The ability to meet these schedule demands is a key requirement of the position.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, adjust, and maintain SHW hardware, including precision work with highly secure locking mechanisms such as X-10 locks.
Assemble, install, and secure STC-rated doors, frames, and accompanying hardware, including closers, ensuring compliance with acoustic and security standards for SCIF spaces. Experience with vault doors is essential.
Lay and install carpet, as well as ceiling tiles and grid systems, ensuring seamless, high-quality finishes.
Understand and implement SCIF-specific construction protocols, including sound attenuation, TEMPEST requirements, and compliance with ICD/ICS 705 standards.
Proactively plan and organize project elements, including putting together material lists, reviewing submittals and specifications, and compiling BOM (Bill of Materials) lists to ensure seamless project continuation.
Qualifications:
Solid understanding of SCIF-specific construction requirements, including soundproofing, TEMPEST, and ICD 705 standards.
