KBR is seeking a Modeling And Simulation Engineer with in-depth knowledge of satellite relevancy to Department of War and the Intelligence Community unique missions to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly, VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems. We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and execution of next-generation SIGINT systems needs for the next 10-20 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.
The Modeling And Simulation Engineer serves as a technical advisor to support the Government with performing analysis on complex space systems needs for the intelligence and DoD communities. The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT, COMINT, FISINT, and ELINT.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports mission analysis assessments and studies for the Program Office
Coordinates assessments HIVE architecture impacts, architecture trades, and architecture performance assessments with the Enterprise, Chief Architect, Chief Engineer, and Program Office
Manages development, test, and validation of systems assessment methodologies and tools such as STK, SOAP, MATLAB, and potentially organically developed software
Analysis of space systems, performance metrics, timelines, and models
Support orbital analysis, including threats assessments/impacts, trades, and analyses
Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges
Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports

Required:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
Bachelor's degree (Master's degree preferred)
5+ years of Customer experience
Detailed understanding of government satellite systems
Insight into SIGINT mission fundamentals, and ability to perform analysis on complex space systems
Knowledge of satellite relevancy to Department of War and the Intelligence Community unique missions
Solid understanding of Signals Intelligence satellite systems and architectures
Experience in Matlab, Python or similar
Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs
Knowledge of system engineering
