Job Description:
This position will be based CONUS to assist Japan, in support of the Amentum Base Operations & Support contract with the US Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy- Marine Corps.
Our team is looking for an organized and analytical professional. A successful candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills to support a rewarding customer mission.
This is full time position providing operational mission support.
Summary:
In addition to meeting the necessary qualifications the selected candidate must be comfortable working in a dynamic and high-energy environment. This position will be based in Japan, primarily at a customer location aboard MCAS Iwakuni in support of a Base Operations & Support contract with the Department of Defense (DoD)/Navy- Marine Corps.
Performance Location:
The individual filling this position will be supporting Amentum on a contract for the US Department of Defense and working at the Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan.
Working Environment:
This is a non-SOFA assignment
Work Schedule:
This position works eight hours/day five days a week minimum. The candidate participates in a 24/7 duty phone rotation.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops techniques and procedures for the efficient and profitable operation in their specified area.

- Assist and supplement Safety and Quality personnel with recordkeeping tasks of the assigned Functional Area
- Organize and maintain documents electronically in SharePoint
- Record and transcribe meeting minutes when assigned.
Minimum Acceptable Experience and Qualification Levels:
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Must possess excellent oral and written communications skills.
- Must have exceptional proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience with a work order management system such as a Maximo or SAP based CMMS is preferred.
- Previous experience working directly with a customer
- Basic knowledge of building operations, maintenance and repairs to include electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, boilers, etc.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED or on course to currently get High school diploma or GED required.
Language Requirements:
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to effectively communicate with employees, management, and the client.

Other Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a valid passport of home country with a minimum of 12 months remaining to expiration date. If not currently a resident of Japan
- Will be expected to obtain a company-sponsored Japanese Work Visa if not currently a resident of Japan
- Will be expected to occasionally escort personnel and business visitors onto MCAS Iwakuni.
- Position requires the applicant to drive in the performance of work duties. Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Japanese Driver License and be able to operate a Company provided motor vehicle on MCAS Iwakuni.
- Transportation is not provided to locally hired personnel for the purpose of commute to and from the workplace. Non-locally hired are expected to obtain and maintain the legal ability to operate a Company provided vehicle both on and off the installation for the purpose of commute and/or on-site transportation. Those unable to obtain and maintain the legal means to operate a motor vehicle in Japan or aboard the installation will be responsible for their own transportation for all purposes.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
