Description:Intern will work in the Materials & Processing Blades and Aftermarket group. Tasks may include material research and development, facilitation of testing activities, and support of the Blades production line, along with other general M&P projects.
As part of the Blades Product Center, candidate will be working primarily with the long-fiber composite materials and their processing. Projects to be documented through technical report writing, data analysis, and presentation of results. The successful candidate will have good technical communication, familiarity with material processing techniques, and data analysis skills.
Basic Qualifications:- Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or other related field.
- Experience with composite materials
- Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment
- Must be a US citizen

- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
- Ability to create and execute material test plans and interpret their results

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
