Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. (NYSE: APD), a Fortune 500 manufacturer of industrial gases, has an immediate opening for a Generated Gases Area Supervisor supporting seven manufacturing facilities across Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia. These facilities produce nitrogen and GOX for dedicated pipeline customers. Reporting to this role are three Supervisors overseeing plants throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The candidate will be responsible for leading the regional team and supervising all aspects of site operations. Key areas of responsibility include EHS management, operational excellence, people development, cost management, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position also offers the opportunity to learn and be a part of the Creighton ASU and Butler SMR facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Own the Basic Safety Process and maintain overall responsibility for the team’s safety performance
- Provide oversight of facility control and monitoring to meet or exceed contract requirements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relations
- Provide hands‑on support to Site Supervisors as needed
- Lead investigations of unexpected plant events to resolve root cause and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure adherence to Air Products operating procedures and Global Safety Standards
- Assist Site Supervisors with SAP transactions, including goods receipts, goods issues, and requisitions
- Ensure site compliance with Preventive Maintenance tasks, Compliance Management tasks, Red Border action items, and other required activities
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of process plant operations and/or maintenance experience
- Proven dedication to supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs
- Self‑starter with proven leadership skills and the ability to develop and grow talent
- Ability to build strong relationships with multiple support groups
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Work independently as needed
- Willingness to support site supervisors outside of normal business hours (24/7)
- Travel to each site on a routine basis
- Lead‑from‑the‑front mindset during unplanned plant events, with hands‑on involvement in day‑to‑day operations to ensure peak performance
- Experience in project execution and/or project management preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and steps and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to high‑noise environments
- Elevated work required
