We are looking for an experienced Dockmaster to join our team in Downtown Seattle. As a Dockmaster, you will be responsible for managing access control, monitoring incoming and outgoing freight and deliveries, coordinating with tenants and vendors, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations at the loading dock area. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
What You Can Expect:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all dock-related activities.
- Conflict resolution and de-escalation of incidents in a calm and professional manner.
- Perform access control at the loading dock area for authorized vehicles, personnel, and vendors.
- Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Enforce company and site-specific policies and procedures.
- Coordinate dock appointments and ensure efficient vehicle turnaround.
- Communicate with building management, tenants, and logistics personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
- Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
- Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
- Provide detailed written reports.
- Provide excellent customer service to all dock users and stakeholders.
- Work in a team environment to ensure site / organizational goals are achieved daily.
- Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
- 2+ years of professional experience in customer service and security required.
- Intermediate to advanced computer / technology skills needed.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
- Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
