What does a successful GL Accountant do?

You will join our German Desk Accounting team in our company and be responsible for general ledger accounting.

What you will do:

Oversee the daily input of financial data into the general ledger system, ensuring all entries are correct, complete and substantiated with appropriate details
Adhere to a tight control environment which abides by the company's previously defined internal control framework
Prepare and book journal entries including (but not limited to) prepayments, accruals, payroll, reclasses
Perform intercompany reconciliations and action on differences identified
Perform manual invoicing activities
Book bank statements, manage fixed assets
Perform closing activities and reporting activities as per process requirements and deadlines in place
Prepare monthly reconciliations for several balance sheet accounts
Collaborate with different departments such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, and others, to integrate their financial data into the general ledger and streamline the financial recording process for added efficiency.

What you need to have:

ERP systems experience such as SAP or Oracle
Good English and Polish is a must, German is a plus
1-2 years in similar positions in SSC/ BPO within multinational environment
Familiarity with working on US GAAP and local GAAP
Highly detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines
Strong analytical and communication skills
Excellent Excel working knowledge.
