Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks across residential or commercial properties. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Handyman will ensure that all facilities are maintained in optimal condition, providing a safe and functional environment for clients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks to prevent future issues
- Install fixtures, appliances, and equipment as needed
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues efficiently to determine appropriate solutions
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Respond promptly to repair requests and prioritize tasks effectively
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Handyman or in a similar maintenance role
- Skilled in multiple trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting
- Ability to read blueprints and technical manuals is a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between sites or locations
- Reliable transportation and own tools are advantageous
