About the Opportunity
Amentum is currently supporting TEPCO regarding the decommissioning of the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant (1F). The role of the International Decommissioning Team is to build relationships and provide International Good Practice on Engineering to TEPCO.
To support this we are recruiting for an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team in Japan that supports the IPFA and future partnerships, accountable to the Engineering Director. You'll direct communications on engineering and technical aspects and projects and coordinate internal engineering support to help ensure the delivery aligns with our Client needs. The Engineering Manager shall also:
Be responsible for the delivery of the engineering scope of specific projects.
Support communications so Clients understand the International Good Practice proposed by Amentum.
Be a Role model for the behaviours and approach that supports stakeholders, and one that respects the Japanese culture.
Make safety the highest priority with a continued strive towards Zero Harm.
Support the coordination and communication with the other Project leads.
Here's What You'll Need
Chartered Engineer, or equivalent
Engineering or technical experience as an Engineering Manager or Lead.
A pro-active self-starter with good communication and team working skills.
Knowledge of International Good Practice within the Nuclear Industry is desirable.
Nuclear experience is preferable.
Experience of working in Japan is preferable.
