Job Summary
The Director, Enterprise Standards & Practices is responsible for owning and operating the enterprise-wide policy, standards, and practices ecosystem at Equinix. This role establishes a centralized, coherent, and sustainable approach to how enterprise policies, procedures, and operating practices are defined, maintained, governed, and communicated across the company.
This role partners closely with Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Security, and other control functions to centralize and align enterprise policies and procedures, establish clear ownership and governance, and ensure that standards enable consistent execution, risk management, and operational clarity without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.
Responsibilities
- Own the enterprise policy and procedure framework, including structure, governance, and lifecycle management
- Centralize enterprise policies, processes and procedures across functions into a coherent, accessible system
- Establish clear ownership, accountability, and escalation paths for enterprise policies and standards
- Ensure policies and procedures are current, relevant, and aligned to business needs
- Define and operate enterprise governance mechanisms for policies, standards, and practices
- Establish regular review cadences and operating rhythms to ensure standards remain effective and up to date
- Facilitate decision-making forums to resolve conflicts, overlaps, and gaps across enterprise policies
- Ensure policy and standards governance supports speed, clarity, and compliance
- Facilitate cross-functional working sessions to define, refine, and document enterprise policies and practices
- Translate complex requirements into clear, usable standards and procedures
- Ensure documentation is practical, accessible, and aligned to how work is actually performed
- Balance rigor and usability in all enterprise standards
- Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, IT, Security, and other stakeholders to align and integrate enterprise policies
- Ensure enterprise standards reflect regulatory, financial, and risk requirements while supporting operational execution
- Coordinate policy updates and changes across functions to avoid duplication and conflict
- Serve as a central point of coordination for enterprise policy-related initiatives
- Ensure enterprise policies and practices are effectively communicated and understood
- Partner with Enterprise Change Delivery to support adoption of new or updated standards
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience
- 10–12+ years of experience in enterprise policy, governance, standards, or operational control roles
- Experience working closely with Finance, Legal, HR, business Operations and other control functions
- Demonstrated experience operating enterprise governance processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Public Policy, or equivalent experience

The targeted pay range for this position in the following location is / locations are:
Canada - Toronto Office TRO : 166,000 - 248,000 CAD / Annual
United States - Dallas Infomart Office DAI : 155,000 - 233,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.
The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
