Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Merchandising Business Acceleration will drive a portfolio of strategy, profit improvement, and localization initiatives across a subset of categories. This role will spend approximately half of their time focused on shopper-centric localization strategies—including store clustering analysis, localized assortment development, and performance optimization—and the remaining half on strategy and profit improvement work, including vendor negotiations, category analytics, and cross‑centric localization strategies—including store clustering analysis, localized assortment development, and performance optimization—and the remaining half on strategy and profit improvement work, including vendor negotiations, category analytics, and cross-functional thought partnership.
The Senior Manager level requires strong analytical skills, comfort with large data sets, excellent communication, and the ability to influence cross-functionally. It offers significant exposure to Category Managers, Merchandising Directors/VPs, and partners across Merchandising.
Primary Responsibilities
Localization & Shopper-Centric‑Centric Assortment
- Create and maintain shopper-centric store clusters by identifying drivers of store‑centric store clusters by identifying drivers of store‑level variation and local shopper needs.
- Leverage best-in‑in‑class assortment analytics tools to tailor localized product assortments across assigned categories.
- Partner with Category Managers and Visual Merchandising to operationalize their vision for a localized assortment
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for cross-functional‑functional teams, ensuring clarity and alignment on localization strategies.
- Monitor localized assortment performance, ensuring initiatives achieve financial targets; recommend and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Follow and maintain localization best practices, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all localized assortments
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in consulting, retail or similar roles
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities, with a proven ability to analyze issues, evaluate options, and drive sound, timely solutions.
- Highly effective collaborator who builds strong relationships, works seamlessly in team environments, and contributes to shared goals.
- Demonstrates a strong growth mindset with agility in learning, adapting, and developing both self and others.
- Reliable in execution and delivery, with strengths in planning, prioritizing, and consistently completing work with accuracy and accountability.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
