Description:The Enterprise Strategy team is responsible for the development of critical strategic products such as the annual strategic plan, strategic plan derivative products, leading strategic business reviews, competitor and customer deep dives, and routine analysis for the LM Space executive leadership team. This high visibility position is focused primarily on Product Line Strategy Development within Enterprise Strategy team. This position will leverage expertise, attitude and aptitude to quickly develop relationships across multi-functional org’s, Lines of Businesses, Product Center and other organization to document and develop integrated product strategies while driving accountability through visibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the liaison between Strategy and Business Development, Product Center and Engineering to translate mission needs/gaps into product strategies
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Aerospace and Defense Tier one product lines including Satellite Buses, Payloads, Software, etc. – including tracking market dynamics, trends, and competitive landscape
- Develop and champion a Product Line process which includes strategy development, road mapping, and entire product lifecycle from launch preparation through commercialization
- Develop and implement tactical Product line execution plans to meet Enterprise Strategy goals
- Bring commercial product line best practices to the Aerospace and Defense industry to help drive down cost and schedule
- Develop and present strategic product recommendations to executive-level leaders (VP to C-suite)
- Partner with Strategic Transactions, Strategic Intelligence, Growth Investments, MSACs, and other stakeholder groups to mature thinking and pressure test assumptions on product strategies
- Provide insight and support into the necessary manufacturing capabilities, capacities, and operational footprint needed to support market growth and product mix forecasts
- Support and guide investments Enterprise investment to improve/develop product lines
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree – Preferred focus on Business, Operations or Engineering
• Experience in Strategy Development, Product Management, Application Engineering and/or Product Engineering
• High level of interpersonal and leadership skills; must be able to influence across multiple levels within the corporation
• Organization, attention to details, and leads through influence with and without formal authority
• Demonstrated strategic mindset and strong business intuition with ability to translate thoughts into executive level briefing material
• Proven experience in commercial product line strategies/development/execution
• The ability to acquire TS/SCI security clearance
Desired Skills:• Master’s degree – Preferred focus on Business, Operations or Engineering
• Experience in management consulting
• Demonstrated understanding of the LM Space Portfolio through direct work experience across multiple functions/missions
• Proven ability to synthesize and distill complex ideas into understandable and actionable information
• Ability to manage concurrent efforts and provide exceptional high-quality products
• Project management experience
• Experience presenting at the executive level
• Active or ability to acquire TS/SCI security clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
