Who we’re looking for
The Toyota Financial Services Site Reliability Engineering is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer. Reporting to the Manager of Production Engineering, the individual in this role will play a pivotal role in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues for financial software and systems, acts as an escalation point for frontline support, and collaborates with product and engineering teams to improve the product. Additionally, the engineer will collaborate closely with the Major Incident Management team to address and resolve production environmental issues
What you’ll be doing
Act as the primary point of contact for production support, managing and resolving tickets across various business units.
Triage and prioritize support tickets based on urgency and impact.
Conduct root cause analysis and apply critical thinking to solve complex problems.
Analyze trends in support tickets to proactively identify recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
Collaborate closely with business users, analysts, and developers to understand issues and enhancements.
Ensure timely and effective resolution of issues while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Follow best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
Document processes, resolutions, and recurring issues for knowledge management and training purposes.
Suggest and implement improvements to processes to reduce ticket volume and enhance efficiency.
Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.
Promptly address and resolve technical issues to maintain the smooth and efficient functioning of applications
Collaborate with the Major Incident Management team to address and resolve critical issues in the production environment.
What you bring
Ability to demonstrate through work experience on troubleshooting enterprise applications, including configuration issues
Experience providing production support and incident management for SAP FI/CO modules, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
Experience analyzing and troubleshooting system issues related to configuration, custom code (ABAP), and interfaces with external systems.
Experience using SAP Solution Manager for incident management, change requests, transport management, and deployments across development, QA, and production landscapes, ensuring smooth coordination and control of SAP system changes.
Experience monitoring batch jobs, system performance, and error logs using SAP CCMS and ST22 transaction codes.
Experience automating routine operational tasks and workflows using SAP Business Workflow and background job scheduling.
Experience participating in SAP upgrades, patches, and integration projects, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal impact.
Experience working with SAP MDG, Ariba and DRM
Experience using monitoring and alerting tools to proactively detect and resolve production issues.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of Agile/Lean framework and methodology
Added bonus if you have
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace
Knowledge of networking and security principles.
Experience in automating deployments, managing CI/CD pipelines, overseeing release management, and optimizing DevOps performance
