Job Summary
The Category Buyer is responsible for identifying, selecting, and developing the best supply options for inventory‑controlled materials that support the facility. Our team focuses on competitive bidding, commercial analysis, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and long‑term sourcing strategies. The CRIB Buyer will play a key role in securing the most competitive and reliable supply base by managing part creation, cost updates, and sourcing decisions aligned with business objectives. This position partners internal stakeholders to understand material requirements, evaluate supplier proposals, and ensures that commercial agreements deliver value and support operational continuity. The selected candidate will contribute to strategic sourcing initiatives, cost‑reduction projects, and supplier performance improvements that directly impact business profitability.
What You Will Do
- Manage the procurement of inventory‑controlled materials (CRIB).
- Execute the creation of new part numbers and ensure accurate documentation in corporate systems.
- Maintain and update standard costs (STD) for inventoried material.
- Negotiate price increases and secure competitive commercial agreements.
- Identify, develop, and execute cost‑reduction opportunities for the business unit.
- Conduct supplier relationship management activities, including performance reviews and improvement actions.
- Perform data analysis to support sourcing strategies and decision‑making.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field is required.
- English level: Intermediate (conversational); able to participate in meetings and basic negotiations.

Data Analytics
- Interprets consumption, cost, and supplier performance data to drive decisions.
- Utilizes analytical tools (Excel, Power BI, AI, or similar) to identify trends and opportunities.
- Communicates analytical findings to support negotiations and cost‑reduction initiatives.
Effective Communications
- Clearly conveys technical and commercial information to internal partners and suppliers.
- Develops concise written reports, summaries, and purchase recommendations.
- Facilitates discussions that ensure alignment and shared understanding.
Negotiating
- Apply negotiation strategies to achieve competitive pricing and terms.
- Manages challenging supplier conversations with professionalism and focus on results.
- Prepare negotiation plans supported by data, cost models, and market insights.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Builds and maintains strong, performance‑driven supplier relationships.
- Tracks KPIs and collaborates with suppliers on improvement plans.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance supplier value and reduce risk.
Purchasing Tasks and Activities
- Executes procurement processes in compliance with corporate policies and internal controls.
- Maintains part master data, purchase documentation, and cost accuracy.
- Ensures timely and accurate completion of purchasing transactions.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Training or certification in commercial negotiations.
- Supply Chain professional certifications (e.g., APICS).
- Master’s degree in related area is desirable.
Additional information
Located in Santa Catarina.
Work schedule is set to Monday to Friday 7am-4pm.
This position will require to travel up to 10% domestic and internationally.
