We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary Export Control Analyst to join the team!
*This position is a temporary position not to exceed 12 weeks*
The Export Control Analyst will:
- Ensure export transactions comply with Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the Amentum Export Compliance Program and NASA export control policy and procedures.
- Provide guidance on export classification for Engineering Directorate products, including documents, presentations, data, software (SW), and hardware (HW).
- Oversee export compliance for foreign travel, shipping, and database record approvals.
- Review scientific and technical information applicable export controls, for public release, or posting on NASA JSC Intranet.
- Assess/Review NASA JSC Engineering Directorate Websites and Web applications, NASA JSC Document Index System Submittal for Export Compliance.
- Manage and maintain the NASA JSC Engineering Directorate Export Control SharePoint site, including user access and content administration.
- Conduct export control audits and risk assessments within the Engineering Directorate.
- Conduct Engineering Directorate Export Control Training for Processes and Agency Requirements.
- Foster effective collaboration with NASA JSC Engineering Directorate stakeholders.
- Actively work to further develop and maintain the Export Compliance procedures and act as a resource for regulatory export compliance-related questions.
- Serve as a point of contact for any NASA client export control officials, representatives, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requisition Qualifications:

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area and normally possess 3 years of work experience.
- Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer interface skills required.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Computer experience with Microsoft Office products, Internet browsers, and outlook.
- Must be able to communicate ideas in writing and verbal communication accurately.
- Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relations with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Requisition Preferences:
- BA or BS degree in the appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university, plus five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience. Additional relevant education may be substituted for progressive experience -OR- Requires two (2) years of college with courses in business administration, industrial management, or appropriate discipline with eight (8) years of progressive and relevant experience.
- BA or BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Business Administration plus five (5) years of progressive and relevant experience.
- Prior experience dealing with export controls within NASA or Aerospace and Department of Defense DoD industries.
- Certified United States Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO) certification.

Work Environment
