Who we're looking for
Toyota’s Enterprise Platforms team is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Lead Pega Developer to architect and establish the Pega Platform as a scalable, secure, and reusable foundation for enterprise-wide use. In this pivotal role, you will define the platform’s architecture, governance, and operational model, empowering multiple business units to build and run Pega applications autonomously while ensuring compliance and production-grade reliability. Reporting to the Enterprise Platforms leadership, you will drive innovation and operational excellence that supports Toyota’s commitment to delivering robust, enterprise-grade digital solutions.
What you’ll be doing
Imagine leading the creation of a cutting-edge Pega Platform that serves as the backbone for diverse business units, enabling them to innovate quickly and securely. Your success means delivering a platform that balances enterprise standards with team autonomy, streamlines onboarding, and ensures operational excellence every day.
Define and implement foundational architectural standards, reusable components, and governance guardrails that enable scalable, consistent Pega applications across the enterprise.
Configure and maintain production-grade platform environments with high availability, security, and performance best practices.
Design and enforce robust role-based access controls and seamless enterprise identity integrations to safeguard platform access.
Build and evolve DevOps pipelines with automated quality gates, release controls, and compliance checks to ensure smooth, repeatable deployments.
Establish operational excellence through monitoring, alerting, incident management, and documented support processes that keep the platform reliable and secure.
Lead integration architecture for key enterprise systems including Salesforce, DocuSign, AWS services, and banking platforms, driving consistent, resilient connection patterns.
Create scalable onboarding experiences with starter app templates, automated pipelines, and governance processes that accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality.
Lead and mentor a team of Pega engineers, partnering with product owners to deliver impactful solutions with speed and quality while fostering a culture of automation and standardization.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field that provides a strong technical foundation.
Pega certifications that validate your expertise and commitment to the platform.
10+ years of hands-on experience with Pega Platform, including proven success establishing and scaling Pega Centers of Excellence with governance, reuse, and enablement frameworks.
Deep expertise in Pega architecture, application layering, ruleset strategy, and enterprise guardrails.
Strong knowledge of enterprise authentication and authorization, including SSO and RBAC design for regulated environments.
Experience building DevOps pipelines, automated testing strategies, and repeatable release processes for Pega applications.
Proven track record in production readiness: performance tuning, resiliency, logging, monitoring, and incident management.
Skilled in integration architecture and lifecycle management across APIs and enterprise systems.
Demonstrated leadership ability to guide engineers and influence cross-functional stakeholders with excellent communication skills.
Added bonus if you have
Experience in regulated or financial services environments with strong audit and compliance rigor.
Hands-on experience with cloud-native operations (AWS), secrets management, and enterprise observability tools.
Background in developing enterprise-grade APIs using Java, Python, or NodeJS to enhance integration capabilities.
