What You Will Do:

Administer, configure, and maintain NetApp storage systems (AFF, FAS, and hybrid environments) running ONTAP.
-
Manage storage provisioning, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
-
Implement and support NAS (NFS, SMB/CIFS) protocols.
-
Administer SnapMirror, SnapVault, and SnapCenter for replication, backup, and disaster recovery.
-
Maintain multiprotocol access (Windows/Linux) and configure name-mapping, SMB encryption, and security best practices.
-
Perform system upgrades, patches, and firmware updates in accordance with vendor recommendations.
-
Collaborate with VMware, Windows, and Linux teams to support virtual and physical server storage requirements.
-
Monitor system health and performance using Active IQ Unified Manager, Config Advisor, and other tools.
-
Document storage configurations, policies, and procedures.
-
Provide support for storage incidents, troubleshoot performance issues, and resolve problems within SLA timelines.

Ensure compliance with data security, STIGs, and DCSA governance standards.

Participate in capacity and infrastructure planning, migrations, and technology refresh initiatives.
Qualifications You Must Have:
-
Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

Experience with but not limited to NetApp ONTAP (9.x+), NAS (NFS/SMB) storage protocols, RAID-DP, RAID-TEC, and ADP provisioning, SnapMirror, SnapVault, SnapCenter, and VSCAN integration, VMware vSphere storage best practices (NFS, vVols, VAAI).

Experience with cluster expansions, switchless-to-switched conversions, and RCF deployments.
Qualifications We Prefer:

NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or higher certification.

Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation.

Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in complex, multi-site environments.

Experience with backup technologies (Commvault, Veeam, SnapCenter plug-ins).
-
Experience with Cisco Nexus switching and storage networking.
-
Experience with STIG compliance and security hardening.
-
Experience with Symantec Protection Engine, antivirus connector, and storage security integration.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
