Job Summary
Manages critical technical accounting processes to ensure compliance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SOX regulatory standards.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Manage certain technical accounting processes that include regular meetings with business partners, decision making, and preparation of monthly/quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, financial statement disclosures and other technical accounting processes.
- Research Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) accounting questions and present to management.
- Research current processes and evaluate for automation, simplification, and consistency across all companies.
- Provide recommendations on standard policy and compliance best practices for accounting and help to ensure processes are Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliant.
- Review and analyze internal and external reporting information.
- Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 5 or more years of experience in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 2 or more years of experience in Public Accounting
- 1 or more years of supervisory experience in Accounting
