Job Title: Enterprise Product Owner - Hire to Retire
Location: New Brighton, MN - onsite
We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to serve as the IT Product Owner for our People Technology platforms (Oracle HCM, UKG, Passport and other People Technology platforms). This role sits within the IT organization and is accountable for the technical health, technical roadmap, and delivery of our people systems. You will partner closely with the Director, Global People Technology and HR functional leaders, who own the processes and experience, to translate business needs into reliable, scalable, and compliant technology solutions that deliver measurable business value.
Product Ownership for Value Streams:
- Serve as the primary IT product owner for People Technology platforms, partnering with HR functional owners and the Director, Global People Technology to translate business needs into a well-prioritized IT backlog of epics, features, and user stories.
- Own the technical roadmap of in-scope systems ensuring stability and reliability of system while ensuring maximum value of the system performance.
- Prioritize and manage incidents, enhancements, and service requests, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Coordinate with IT change and release management, as well as HR stakeholders, on readiness reviews, testing approaches, deployment coordination, and communication planning; ensure technical changes are well-documented and low risk.
- Execute and support required system integration testing across People Technology platforms, ensuring changes across value streams and processes are validated effectively.
- Provide hands-on support for high-priority issues and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents.
- Partner with HR People Technology and super users by providing the configurations, tools, and technical capabilities they need to improve process maturity and drive self-service adoption.
Solution Architecture & Design:
- Own and lead high-level technical design and system integration across all People Technology platforms and edge systems, partnering with Enterprise Architecture and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and the future-state vision.
- Evaluate, test and verify impacts of proposed changes, integrations, or enhancements to ensure long-term scalability and sustainability.
- Partner with internal Product and Process Owners and vendors to design solutions that optimize business performance while appropriately managing technical risk, security, and supportability.
- Define and maintain, in partnership with Enterprise Architecture and data/integration teams, the data models, integration strategies, and reporting solutions that ensure quality, security, and performance.
Collaboration & Governance:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for Technical Leads and System Engineers responsible for People Technology platforms to drive platform stability, scalability, and team growth
- Serve as Product Owner on the Architecture Review Board and Enterprise PMO Operational Boards, driving intake governance, strategic alignment, and timely approvals
- Serve as IT SOX control owner for applicable controls across the People Technology stack, ensuring controls are designed, operating effectively, and audit-ready
- Collaborate with software and service providers, internal stakeholders, Enterprise Architecture, and the Director, Global People Technology on upgrades, new implementations, and architectural changes.
- Ensure solutions align with compliance, cybersecurity, and operational resilience standards.
- Participate in HR and business governance forums with the Director, Global People Technology to understand priorities, and lead IT platform health assessments, including roadmap planning, monitoring, capacity, and technical risk reviews.
- Document and communicate key decisions, design patterns, and operational dependencies.
- Maintain accountability for understanding licensing models across the People Technology tech stack, optimizing technical design for cost efficiency and compliance, and supporting required license renewals and audits.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise platform management, solution architecture, or application ownership.
- Proven ability to balance strategic architecture decisions with operational platform management.
- Strong understanding of business process design and system optimization.
- Hands-on experience designing and supporting integrations, reporting, and user access models.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, prioritization, and cross-functional communication.
- Skilled in developing strong relationships with software and service providers.
- Familiarity with change management, incident response, and ITSM tools.
Tools & Technologies:
- Enterprise SaaS platforms including Oracle Cloud
- Integration tools (e.g., Boomi, MuleSoft, OIC)
- Reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, OTBI, Tableau)
- Identity and access management (e.g., Okta, Azure AD)
- ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The pay range is $152,000 - $229,000, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
