The Systems Engineer (Tech Lead) serves as the primary technical authority for GALANT GRIZZLY SENTINEL system sustainment and leads execution across a three-person engineering team supporting Government-owned SENTINEL hardware and software. This role is responsible for ensuring system availability, performance, configuration integrity, and responsive customer support across supported locations while serving as the primary technical interface to Government stakeholders.The Tech Lead provides hands-on software and hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrade support for SENTINEL systems, including identifying and correcting hardware/software failures, performance degradations, and implementation issues that impact day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include modifying and adapting system configurations and processing environments, configuring network interfaces to connect to Government Processing Environment (GPE) interfaces, optimizing system parameters, setting operational parameters, and executing changes involving cabling, disk volumes, databases, and system security parameters. The Tech Lead ensures new versions of operating systems and SENTINEL software are installed, validated, and operationally ready on Government hardware.This role oversees configuration control and technical documentation, including maintaining accurate baseline records for system and workstation configurations and tracking all modifications from baseline. When baseline documentation is not available, the Tech Lead establishes and documents the baseline configuration to enable lifecycle tracking and repeatable sustainment. The Tech Lead ensures all maintenance actions, failures, site requests, and resolutions are recorded using Government-provided project management tools, including JIRA, enabling reporting, monitoring of support tasking, and archiving of baseline SENTINEL system configurations. The Tech Lead ensures consolidated logs are maintained for preventative maintenance purposes and supports monthly reporting to the COR detailing tasking conducted and the sites supported, as well as yearly maintenance reporting requirements.The Tech Lead supports Government planning and sustainment decision-making by performing system analysis and impact assessments for proposed changes and updates to SENTINEL software, providing documentation supporting SENTINEL software capabilities, and informing the Government of changes to minimum hardware requirements needed to support current and planned software versions. This includes providing 18-month notification when future minimum hardware requirements are expected to exceed fielded system capabilities and supporting documentation associated with power, space, cooling, security, and thick-client waiver requirements when needed for updated hardware acquisition and fielding.The Tech Lead ensures effective training and mission support by coordinating operator training for SENTINEL server systems and client workstations, providing system administration training for Government technicians, supporting customer inquiries regarding system operation and maintenance, and ensuring on-call technical support coverage when mission requirements and site surveys require elevated support beyond standard operational hours. The Tech Lead may be tasked to support specialty antenna/array design efforts, software interface development for Government specialty processing systems, SENTINEL installation activities at Government-designated sites or other U.S. agencies, and secure network integration activities supporting NSA networks and partner-shared environments.This position requires personnel to meet and maintain all established security clearance requirements necessary to perform work under this contract and comply with all Government security policies and access controls.Systems Engineer — Job Description (Applies to both non-lead positions) (Donnie Gilbert and Rob Kelley)The Systems Engineer provides direct software and hardware sustainment support for Government-owned SENTINEL systems under GALANT GRIZZLY mission requirements. This role performs hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration changes, installs, and system upgrades to ensure operational readiness, system performance, and responsive support to Government personnel across supported locations.Responsibilities include identifying and correcting hardware/software failures, performance issues, and implementation failures impacting daily operations. The Systems Engineer performs modifications to SENTINEL system configurations and processing environments, including configuring network interfaces, system parameters, operational settings, cabling, disk volumes, databases, and system security parameters. The role supports installation and validation of new operating system releases and SENTINEL software versions on Government hardware and assists with readiness verification following updates or corrective maintenance actions.The Systems Engineer supports configuration control and reporting requirements by maintaining accurate records of issues, failures, service requests, and resolutions, and documenting modifications to any system or workstation from baseline. The engineer uses Government-provided project management tools, including JIRA, to log maintenance tasking as it occurs, track and monitor SENTINEL support actions, and support consolidated preventative maintenance logs that contribute to monthly reporting to the COR and yearly maintenance reporting requirements.The Systems Engineer provides technical support to Government customers by answering inquiries regarding SENTINEL operation and maintenance, assisting with system administration needs, supporting operator and technician training events as assigned, and participating in on-call support coverage when required to support mission operations and site survey activities. The Systems Engineer may also support installation activities at Government-designated locations or other agencies, assist with secure network connections and partner network integration efforts, and support specialty antenna/array or interface software efforts when tasked.This position requires personnel to meet and maintain all established security clearance requirements necessary to perform work under this contract and comply with all Government security policies and access controls.
Work Arrangement : Hybrid
Pay Range: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually
Bonus Eligible: This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
