JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Juvenis Maxime is looking for experienced and knowledgeable Industrial Engineering professionals to guide our mentees in exploring and developing their careers, including systems optimization, operations management, process improvement, and real-world business applications. Your insights will ensure our program content is current, relevant, and aligned with international industry standards and modern operational practices.
This is a flexible, remote, project-based opportunity ideal for experienced Industrial Engineering professionals, operations specialists, supply chain experts, or former educators who are passionate about career readiness, experiential learning, and guiding young learners toward global career pathways in engineering and business operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, review, and/or facilitate hands-on projects/activities that help students understand Industrial Engineering careers (e.g., process optimization simulations, supply chain case studies, production planning exercises, efficiency improvement challenges).
- Provide personalized career guidance and support to students interested in pursuing careers in Industrial Engineering and operations-related fields.
- Offer insights into various career pathways such as operations management, supply chain management, quality control, logistics, manufacturing systems, and business analytics.
- Assist mentees in setting and achieving career goals through structured action plans, skill-building strategies, and exposure to professional networks.
- Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions to address academic preparation, problem-solving skills, and long-term career planning.
- Guide students in understanding core competencies required in Industrial Engineering, including process analysis, Lean principles, Six Sigma concepts, data-driven decision-making, workflow optimization, and basic analytical tools (e.g., Excel, process-mapping tools).
- Provide guidance on educational pathways, including relevant degree programs, internships, certifications, and international study opportunities.
- Provide feedback on students’ analytical reports, operational improvement proposals, and project presentations to ensure clarity, feasibility, and structured thinking.
- Support mentees in preparing for internships, university applications, and entry-level roles in manufacturing, consulting, logistics, or operations.
- Monitor mentees’ progress, provide constructive feedback, encourage continuous improvement, and celebrate milestones in their development as future industry leaders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related discipline (e.g., Operations Management, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain Management).
- Demonstrated professional experience in Industrial Engineering, operations, manufacturing, logistics, quality management, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of process optimization, systems thinking, and performance improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, production planning, or data analysis tools is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify business and operational concepts for young learners.
- Empathetic listener with a genuine passion for mentoring and supporting students in their academic and career journeys.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving abilities.
- Experience working on industry projects at a university or company is an advantage.
- Prior experience in mentoring, teaching, or supervising students is an advantage.
- Understanding of international education systems, admission requirements, and global career pathways is advantageous.
WORK ARRANGEMENT
- Remote, flexible schedule
- Project-based workload (estimated 10–20 hours/month depending on volume)
RATE: USD 60 - 80/hour
