Drive the requirements, design, development and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools to uniquely adapt modern signal processing designs to meet the current PATRIOT requirements

The Signal Processing Development Lead will lead a scrum team of 5+ engineers which entails Product Owner responsibilities such as generating stories, refining backlog and prioritizing sprint stories for the PATRIOT RADAR program.

Lead the Team in the effort to modernize the current tool sets adopting modern tools for development , testing and integration

The Signal Processing Development Lead will interface with several cross-functional teams to effectively develop requirements, prioritize software development and ensure proper testing.

Work with the team Product Owner to develop talent on the program specifically in the domain of Signal Processing

Engage with the Radar Software development Scrum team of 5+ Engineers and drive mission critical milestones.

Design, code, test, integrate, and document software solutions.

Collaborate with project managers and other professionals within Engineering. Facility cross-functional communication to ensure schedule and budget is maintained.

Follow established development practices and processes to maintain the configuration management of software products.

This position requires onsite presence and extensive interaction with other groups including Systems Design engineering and the Software Development Team.

Light travel may be required.

Off hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) occasionally may also be required.
Qualifications you must have
-
Requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of experience.

Experience with C, C++, Java or similar higher level programming language in a Unix/Linux operating system.

Experience in embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications we Prefer

Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Prior experience within Patriot software is highly desirable. Familiarity with Raytheon software development process is also helpful.

Prior experience with Mercury computer systems and working knowledge of inter-process communications on those systems is highly desired.

Experience developing software in a team-based development environment, in Agile/SCRUM, DevOps and test automation.

Experience with data structures and algorithms, systems software design, operating systems, architectures, software development life cycle and processes.

Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments.

Experience with Network Communication Protocols, Shell Scripting (tcsh, csh, bash), software development tools like Git/Clearcase, software debuggers, and using embedded RTOSs (e.g. VxWorks, Integrity).

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
