SkillBridge Fellow – Field Service Engineer
Locations: Cleveland, Ohio/ Houston, Texas optional based on candidate preference.

ABB Process Automation Energy Industries is seeking a transitioning service member to participate in our SkillBridge Fellowship as a Field Service Engineer supporting industrial control systems across critical infrastructure industries including power generation, water, oil and gas, and manufacturing.
This fellowship provides hands on training and mentorship with ABB Field Service Engineers and Service Managers. The Fellow will gain practical experience supporting distributed control systems and preparing for a full-time engineering career.

Responsibilities include:
- Support ABB distributed control systems including troubleshooting and maintenance
- Assist with on-site service, upgrades, and commissioning
- Work alongside experienced field engineers supporting customer sites
- Develop troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
- Learn industrial automation and control system fundamentals
- Support preparation and review of service documentation
This fellowship is designed to prepare the Fellow for potential full-time employment with ABB following successful completion of the program.

Preferred Background:
Military technical experience such as electrical, electronics, mechanical, nuclear, communications, or similar
Strong troubleshooting mindset and desire to learn
Interest in engineering, industrial automation, or technical field service
Ability and willingness to travel

Location and Relocation:
This fellowship is primarily intended to support ABB’s Field Service team based in Cleveland, Ohio. Candidates located in or willing to relocate to the Cleveland area are strongly preferred. Houston, Texas may be considered based on candidate location and business needs.
