Supervisor of Sterile Processing
Our Surgical Service and Central Sterile teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity. We are seeking a Supervisor for Central Sterile Processing. As our Supervisor of Sterile Processing, you will supervise decontamination and sterilization procedures and assist in keeping the department running smoothly.
Your duties and responsibilities may include:
· You will maintain accurate sterilization records for all machine tests as well as a monthly report.
· You will assure adequate instrumentation functionality for Surgical Services and other areas of the hospital as needed.
· You will operate Ultrasonic, Steam, Steris and Sterrad equipment.
· You will be responsible for thorough and complete processing of all usable surgical instruments.
· You will assist department leadership in any way necessary to keep the department running smoothly, i.e. assist with scheduling, disciplinary actions and training.
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Previous experience 3-5 year Sterile Processing, 1-2 years Sterile Processing leadership required
- Sterile Processing certification required
- knowledge and experience of cleaning, assembling, wrapping and sterilizing reusable surgical instruments and supplies
