Role Definition
The Data Solutions Coordinator plays a critical role in managing the front‑end of the data and analytics delivery lifecycle. This position owns the demand intake and prioritization process for Data Solutions, serving as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and data delivery teams.
The role focuses on intake governance, requirements definition, value assessment, and backlog readiness, ensuring incoming requests are clearly articulated, strategically aligned, and prepared for efficient execution by data and analytics teams.
This is an ideal role for professionals who excel at translating business needs into structured work, coordinating across teams, and bringing clarity to complex demand environments.
Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end intake and prioritization of data and analytics requests, ensuring demand is clearly defined, evaluated for value, and prepared for delivery
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope and success criteria, and translate needs into actionable work items
Maintain and manage a prioritized backlog of approved requests, ensuring work is well‑scoped, documented, and ready for execution
Coordinate across data, analytics, and technology teams to align on priorities, dependencies, and delivery readiness
Track intake progress and outcomes, providing visibility into demand status and contributing to continuous improvement of intake processes

Project Management and Coordination:
Proven experience in managing and coordinating complex projects from inception to completion.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven ability to bring structure to ambiguous requests and translate them into clear, actionable work
Ability to translate approved requests into well‑defined epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Azure DevOps:
Hands‑on experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar platforms to track intake, backlogs, and work items
Proficiency in using Azure DevOps for Agile project management, including planning and tracking user stories, requirements, and bugs
Hands-on experience in automating build and release pipelines using Azure Pipelines
Knowledge of best practices for integrating Azure DevOps with other tools and services.
Agile & Scrum:
Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum methodologies
Experience in facilitating Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
Ability to create and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Proven track record of leading Agile teams and driving continuous improvement in processes and practices
Digital or Technology Space:
Experience working within the digital or technology space, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products and services.
Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in digital transformation and technology innovation.
Skill Required:
Agile Champion: Champions Agile requirements practices by coaching and onboarding team members into Agile methods and also showcases strong ability to translate business needs into clear, prioritized, and adaptable work items that support iterative delivery and maximize value.
Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
Planning: Tactical, Strategic: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan.
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Project Management: Knowledge of effective AGILE project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
