Amentum is seeking a Finance Manager to join our #pecan team to support a mid-sized CONUS-based Operations and Maintenance program. The primary purpose of this position is to manage the financial operations and ensure adherence to financial requirements for government contracts. The Finance Manager will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting financial information and ensuring compliance with customer requirements and budgets. This role is crucial in supporting the organization's financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities
- Apply accounting principles to track and analyze financial data and prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for customers.
- Monitor financial adherence to customer requirements and budgets.
- Develop and maintain tracking of billings against Customer funding requirements by Contract Line-Item Number (CLIN)/SLIN/ACRN.
- Prepare and maintain Estimate at Completion (EACs) in accordance with Amentum guidelines.
- Reconcile and approve vendor invoices for payment.
- Analyze financial information to forecast option year budgets.
- Review cash requirements and prepare for future procurement.
- Administer Firm-fixed price and cost-type contracts.
- Utilize Excel proficiently to perform accounting procedures.
- Maintain security clearance requirements.
- Ensure all financial activities comply with CONUS-based operations.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with government contracts. MBA preferred.
- Candidates without a Bachelor’s Degree may be considered on a case-by-case basis with the following qualifications:
- High school, vocational school, or trade school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in financial management-related positions of responsibility and complexity similar to the scope of this role.
- At least six (6) years of experience in the field of finance or accounting. The years of experience in management and accounting can be concurrent.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Excel. Knowledge of other financial systems such as Deltek/Costpoint, and Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting procedures and government contract management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports and forecasts.
- Experience in monitoring and maintaining compliance with financial regulations and budgets.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
- Possession of a TS security clearance preferred. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS security clearance.
- Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment.

- The position is primarily remote or office-based with occasional travel to customer sites, as required.
- The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, use of computers, and engagement in routine office tasks.
- Mental demands include the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines.
- The work involves a high level of collaboration and communication with team members and external stakeholders.

Compensation Details:
$125,000 to $175,000
