Job Summary:
To provide technical expertise and guidance in implementing/optimizing automation use in the ACM fabrication factories, working as a with internal/external suppliers to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness.
Provides leadership in the implementation of integrated technologies within the factory. Develops individual presentations on all integration projects and prepares and establishes priorities for cost effectiveness.
Adheres to established standards, policies and practices relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, ergonomics, etc., in performing assigned duties.
The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems. The incumbent generally resolves issues by following departmental guidelines or applying a solution that worked in the past. Impacts key operational goals including Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Timeliness, Accuracy, Efficiency, Cost Savings, Process Quality, Part Quality, ISO 9000 Certification, etc. The position meets or exceeds quality standard set for the measure(s) stated.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory and classification of existing automation solutions and development of a prioritized portfolio of projects to expand automation solutions across both new and existing assets.
Lead or support initiatives for implementing automated systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
Program, debug, and troubleshoot a variety of robotic and automated systems, ensuring seamless deployment and operation.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical issues, partnering with support teams to address application and software challenges.
Train end users and operations support staff on automated system applications, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and system adoption.
Provide local support for operational applications, reinforcing the execution of organizational standards and best practices.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.

Required Skills and Competencies:
Coaching: Working as a coach for an internal team to up-skill the capabilities for automation and increase production output. Working as a team while managing and tracking progression of automation and digitalization implementation across the division.
Manufacturing Engineering: Provides direction and guidance to other manufacturing personnel in a continuous effort to improve manufacturing productivity and personnel skill levels. Develops the need to upskill, creates specific training and mentoring programs for the workforce to keep up with the technology. Works with suppliers (both internal and external) in the development of projects, which ensure the most efficient and cost-effective systems or operations to produce quality products.
Industrial Automation/Automatic Control: Cites examples of Industrial Automation applications in one's own manufacturing organization, describes Industrial Automation/Automatic Control concepts and features, lists where to obtain expertise and information regarding Industrial Automation methods and techniques, discusses major considerations and issues related to Industrial Automation.
Data Analytics: Maintains the usage data of each automated/ semi-automated cell in ACM factories. Deploy / Re-deploy assets to ensure the optimum use. Improves the automated welding percentage as per the targets set by ACM automation strategy.
Robotics/Computer Controlled Machinery: explains the benefits and risks associated with manufacturing process automation. Documents the criteria for evaluating automation opportunities. Provides examples of tasks that have been automated through robotic technologies. Describes key measures of success associated with the use of robotics.
Problem Solving: explains the value of a disciplined approach to problem solving. Describes problem reporting and escalation practices. Utilizes accepted procedures for problem analysis and resolution. Identifies key aspects of problem-solving techniques used in own area.
Project Management: provides input for Gantt or PERT charts or their equivalent to track project progress and status. Under guidance, plans and estimates simple projects. Assists in detailed project plans including cost, schedule, and resource requirements. Obtains information from stakeholders during the planning stage of a project. Produces standard project status reports.
Quality Management: utilizes quality indicators relevant to own unit or function. Adheres to organizational quality management processes and practices. Apply key aspects of continuous improvement processes and evaluates impact on quality. Uses quality evaluation tools and techniques such as walkthroughs and inspections. Works with quality assurance methods, tools and techniques.
Technical Troubleshooting: anticipate, identify, and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, or operations using systematic troubleshooting techniques. Utilize available resources and support systems to address and solve complex problems as needed.

This position is five-days a week in-office model
This position will require travelling 20% working time (International).
