Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Inspector to join our Caterpillar Corporate Aviation team in Fort Worth, Texas. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining the airworthiness and quality of company owned aircraft to ensure safety, reliability, and the highest level of customer satisfaction. The main responsibility is to inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft to ensure it is approved for return to service in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and company policies.
What You Will Do:
Perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs to the company aircraft; must comply with standards, covering materials, procedures of the company, FAA, and the recommendations of the aircraft and components manufacturer
Supervise and inspect work accomplished at our facility and service centers; global support is required to remote locations where technical support is limited or nonexistent
Assist in maintaining an effective inventory of aircraft parts, maintenance equipment, etc.
Locate suppliers, negotiate purchase, confirm orders and conduct follow-up as needed.
Must function as a team member and interact with other teams to enhance performance; work group cooperation is an ongoing objective
Understand and repair airframe, avionics, and engine problems; continuous training is required to maintain the high level of trouble shooting capabilities and to maintain expertise with the continuous advancements of the aviation industry and changing federal regulations
Evaluate problems and review many possible solutions before selecting one option as problems may be complex and can require the incumbent to develop solutions
Sets priorities and establishes a work plan to complete broadly defined assignments and achieve desired results; impacts key quality goals including Customer Satisfaction, etc.
What You Have:
Technical Excellence: Must be proficient with the use of technology and computer knowledge to include Maintenance tracking (CAMP), Microsoft Office, and other related business applications
Aircraft Inspection: Knowledge of aircraft inspection processes and methods; ability to examine every aspect of aircraft to ensure its suitability for safe flight
Aviation Standards, Procedures, and Policies: Significant experience in a business aircraft maintenance environment acquiring detailed knowledge of FAA and company regulations.
Aircraft Maintenance: Knowledge of the process and major activities involved in aircraft maintenance to ensure airworthiness; ability to design and implement an aircraft maintenance program for a fleet; experience with Gulfstream G500/G700 and/or Bombardier Global 6000 aircraft preferred
Aircraft Systems and Components Testing: Knowledge of processes, tools, and techniques for aircraft systems and components testing; ability to assure a high level of safety and performance of aircraft systems, sub-systems, and components.
Safety Management System: Knowledge of safety management processes and concepts; ability to continuously improve the overall safety of the aviation system.
Education and License Requirements:
Must possess a FAA Airframe and Powerplant license with 6 months of experience within the past 24 months with either inspections, maintenance, or the return to service of aircraft in accordance with the privileges granted by the certificate held
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience desired

Summary Pay Range:
$112,630.00 - $168,950.00
