Amentum is seeking a Food Services Supervisor in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Food Service Supervisor directs the daily activities in the kitchen/cafeteria, manages the food service program and will supervise and evaluate food service personnel The Supervisor shall provide oversight of the food service operations and contribute to planning, scheduling, and quality inspections of the work performed for this effort. The Supervisor shall demonstrate and apply highly developed interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
Job Requirements:
- Supervision of Food Service Staff.
- Assist in the hiring process for vacant food service positions as needed.
- Facilitate training for new food service staff.
- Evaluate staff.
- Resolve personnel conflicts.

- Collaborate with others in a positive manner
- Assign and oversee personnel plans for performance improvement as needed.
- Assist in organizing food service schedules, work assignments, and responsibilities.
- Assist in the planning of menus
- Maintain proper food storage requirements and documentation requirements.
- Overseeing food preparation, presentation, and storage to ensure compliance with food health and safety regulations.
- Assist in developing and implementing a schedule for maintaining the cleanliness of food storage areas, kitchen equipment and workspaces.
- Follow regulations of applicable programs and complete required documentation requirements.
- Remain current in certifications, licenses, etc., that pertain to job responsibilities.
- Review customer surveys to develop and implement ways to improve customer service.
- Follow all safety procedures and use proper safety equipment in the performance of all duties.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Drivers license
- US Citizen
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills needed to relate positively customers.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven experience working as a supervisor in the hospitality industry.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Must have a government issued clearance at time of application
Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA). In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act. The amount you are entitled to receive will vary depending upon the fringe benefits you select now and in the future.
