Operations Support Manager (New client business startup and technical training)
Amentum is looking for an experienced maintenance related Operations Support Manager that will focus on new client business startups and our Commercial group technical training program. This position will focus on coordinating transition activities to meet contractual timelines while engaging various stakeholders during new client business startups. This position will also focus on administering the Amentum Commercial Technical Training program.
Essential duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:
- Research, review, analyze and interpret all responsive information for contract awards
- Ability to prepare management reports, reviews, and documents for internal and external use
- Responsible for coordinating new business startup activities from a prescribed plan with internal functional group owners and come clients
- Responsible for traveling to client locations to assess contractual process or facility maintenance responsibilities and for physically starting up maintenance services to agreed upon scope
- Responsible to administer company LMS online technical training system, administer technical skills assessments, assign and monitor associated training requirements, and develop online training process courses utilizing 3rd party software packages from documents and video
- Manage training records and training certificates
- Develop and deliver any additional instructor led and online self-paced training
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities, schedules and budgets
- Work independently as part of an integrated team and display high self-motivation and integrity.
- Have the ability to maintain an exceptional level of organization and time management skills
- Must have good work ethics and be available occasionally on nights and weekends if necessary to accommodate operational needs.
- Drafting and submitting standard reports (weekly, monthly, etc.) and ad-hoc reports (incident reports, etc.) to customer and leadership team
- Proven training experience (developing, leading)
Minimum Experience, Education and Licensure:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Business or Technical
- Ten Plus (10+) years of experience in a Commercial setting in maintenance or similarly related disciplines
- Facility and Process maintenance core background
- Technical training program knowledge
- Knowledge of skilled trades and other discipline technical knowledge requirements and associated skill sets
- Some level of Instructional Design, Training Instructor, or other similarly related experience and/or education
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Facility and/or process maintenance core background
- Knowledgeable of HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Robotics, Controls, etc.
- Knowledgeable of training systems, programs, assessments, both hands on, in classroom, and virtual
- Experience managing maintenance teams and providing maintenance services
- Experience using a variety of office software, including: MS Word, MS Power Point, MS Excel, MS Share Point, and MS outlook
- Must be able to learn new systems and applications
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment and relate well to others
- Ability to manage individual workflow effectively and improve processes when necessary
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers both in written and verbal communications
- Ability to show initiative and commitment to the company’s goals
- Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements
- Strong commitment to performing and producing at the highest level of quality at all times
Preferred Knowledge and skills:
- Articulate 360 or similar learning development tools
- SCORM knowledge and familiarity
- OSHA training requirements
- Maintenance Manager or Supervisory background
- Technical maintenance skills and experience/background
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects office equipment; use fingers and hands to type or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to Lift up to 15 lbs, bend, reach, carry, stoop, kneel, climb, etc.
Work Environment:
- This position requires travel up to 50% of the time, working from multiple Amentum office spaces and client site locations to also include remote office locations.
Compensation Details:
$115,000 - $130,000
