Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology and operational excellence.
As a Purchasing Analyst, you will be responsible for processing requisitions and provides support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
Additional Information:
- This role is located in Miami Lakes, FL and does not offer relocation or sponsorship
- This role is 1st Shift: Monday through Friday
- This role is 100% on-site with no opportunities for hybrid or remote schedules
- This role requires up to 5% domestic travel
What You Will Do:
- Analyze and maintain purchasing and quality data, including but not limited to purchase orders, quotations, invoices, source catalogs, material rejection/disposal reports, tooling records, supplier data, and performance measurements.
- Partner with internal team on outsourcing needs, including establishing blanket purchase orders and managing vendor‑managed inventory (VMI) programs.
- Support internal teams and customer proposal efforts by providing pricing information, supplier recommendations, and sourcing insights.
- Manage supplier performance in alignment with operational KPIs, ensuring suppliers meet required cost, quality, delivery, and service expectations to effectively support daily operations.
- Provide support for ongoing budget planning, including cost analysis, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for cost savings through supplier negotiations and sourcing strategies.
- Perform analytical and administrative tasks to support strategic purchasing initiatives, process improvements, and supplier management activities.
What You Have (Basic Requirements):
- Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
- Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.

- Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.
- Knowledge of the features, functions and operations of a specific procurement system; ability to develop and use tools, techniques, and practices for a specific procurement application.

Summary Pay Range:
$28.70 - $43.10
