Data Center Technician
About your role:
As a Data Center Technician, you will support the seamless operation of Fiserv's data center infrastructure. Your role will focus on maintaining high availability and performance of our data centers, which are crucial for supporting our clients' operations. You will collaborate with a team of skilled professionals dedicated to innovation and operational excellence, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of our systems. You will need to be willing to work 10 or 12 hour shifts (roughly overnights).
What You’ll Do:
- Manage and monitor data center operations to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Under guidance, diagnose and resolve advanced data center issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Implement and upgrade data center equipment and technologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data center issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and industry best practices for data center management.

Experience you’ll need to have:
- 5 years of experience supporting data center operations or large-scale infrastructure environments.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in network cabling and hardware installation.
- 1+ year(s) of experience in troubleshooting data center issues.
- 5+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience in follow‑the‑sun or 24x7 operational models.
- Familiarity with DCIM tools (Sunbird DC Track preferred).
- Experience supporting financial or procurement analytics in an operational context.
- Background in data center lifecycle management and asset governance.
- Experience supporting migration, modernization, or transformation initiative.
How you’ll work:
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders while working at heights of 6 to 12 feet and stand on your feet when needed.
- Occasional local travel of up to 30% may be required.
- To be considered, you must be either a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to contractual obligations.
