Amentum is currently seeking a Senior Linux System Administrator to join our award-winning team.
Must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance (at a minimum, must receive/be approved for an interim Secret security clearance to start)
Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
Responsibilities:
Customer service and IT support to software development lab in Dahlgren, VA to support Naval Surface Warfare Center development lab.
Will need to manage multiple priorities from user needs, to upgrade requirements for the lab, to weekly scans, visitor tours and project management tasks.
Enjoy working with a small team of IT professionals and software engineers to support exciting research-related software work.
Available to support Software Lab in Dahlgren, VA between 8-5 M-F with occasional flexibility to work some evening hours approaching inspections, etc.

Minimum Qualifications (at least 2 of the following):
IT Level 2; 3+ years of equivalent experience administering Linux systems.
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA EX200 or RHCE EX294), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or LPIC (Linux Professional Institute)
Five (3) + years’ experience in Systems Administration.
Experience with two or more of the following: BASH/Ansible, Python, CSH, ZSH, Command line, GNU and Unix commands.
DOD 8570.01 M Level 2 or ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ or equivalent that meets IT Level 2 either at or within one (1) month of start.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience configuring and maintaining Linux servers and tools in support of software development; to include scripting to automation tasks;
Demonstrated knowledge and experience supporting: Linux Red Hat Enterprise License 7 or 8, driver, applications, vulnerabilities, security requirements and postures, experience with DCSA.
STIG and SCAP requirements.
Ability to interact with corporate and vendor SMEs to solve complex problems, RMF experience, building and maintaining Linux Systems.
Experience using STIGs to support DCSA computer controls, imaging software, Rsync, or Clonezilla
