The primary focus of our Analytics teams is to generate actionable insights by leveraging data and using effective data storytelling to help our company make better data-driven decisions.

We currently have openings on the following teams:
Data Analysis (DnA)
The Data Analysis team provides reporting, ad hoc and insight generation/analytics primarily assisting our Contact Center Service Operations, Legal and Compliance, Sales, and other Corporate Functions including Voluntary Protection Products (VPP), Accounting, Risk and Fraud.
Our goal is to provide a consultative approach to answering business questions, driving efficiency gains and helping the business units to deliver value. The goal is to turn data into actionable insights while enabling the business to be more self sufficient in their data and reporting needs.
We typically look for candidates with a mix of coding/programming ability along with an ability to analytically answer a business problem while being able to build relationships and influence decisions across the organization.
Pricing Analytics
The Pricing Analytics team’s work is centered on determining the appropriate interest rates to be paid by customers for our Consumer Finance Retail and Lease products.
Our team’s work is critical not only in driving TMCC’s business results from a sales, profitability, and risk perspective but also in the impact it has on millions of Americans monthly loan/lease payments. With such a high level of responsibility, our team utilizes both an analytical framework utilizing the latest techniques and technologies in data analytics/science while also leveraging the depth of industry knowledge and expertise throughout TFS.
Learning and Development Analyst
Through technical and analytical skills, deliver actionable insights that enable the business to measure learning effectiveness and align employee capabilities with future business needs.
Leverage your problem solving skills to solve for data gaps and to evolve our learning analytics capabilities.
What you'll be doing
- Uncover business needs and the true questions that the company is trying to answer in order to properly frame your analysis.
- Leverage your SQL/Python/R coding skills to pull and organize data that is needed for your analysis.
- Find insights buried in the data by applying your arsenal of creative problem-solving, data exploration, and quantitative analytical skills (including statistical methods) .
- Assess the quantitative and qualitative impacts of possible actions based on your insight, taking into consideration our customers, our employees, and our company .
- Recommend actions based on your insights by effectively telling the story that is supported by data through presentations (PowerPoint), data visualizations (Tableau), and clear and concise verbal and written communications skills.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to help implement and measure recommended actions.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across Toyota such as Sales, Marketing, Servicing, Insurance, Risk, Technology, Legal/Compliance, Finance, Treasury, etc.
- Continuously improve your analytical, technical, communication, and people skills through offered training and on-the-job experience to prepare for advancement into analytical leadership roles.
- Become a subject matter expert for your business area by developing a comprehensive understanding of its strategies, processes, policies, and data.
- Guide/mentor other analysts on best practices for analysis and data storytelling.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in any field with an emphasis on quantitative analysis including Business Analytics, Information Science, Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Marketing, Consumer Insights or closely related field / STEM degree.
- At least one year of equivalent and relevant work experience required.
- Demonstrated relevant experience coding in SQL, Python and/or R (this will be tested during interviews).
- Creative and quantitative problem-solving skills with strengths in Data Acquisition, Manipulation, Cleaning, Analysis and Presentation of Results.
- Basic statistics knowledge.
- Presentation skills including proposing strategic recommendations to management and clearly articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Intellectual curiosity – always making an effort to understand and find the truth in the data.
- Experience collaborating with others.
Added bonus if you have
- MBA or Master’s degree in an analytical field.
- Background in Auto Finance or Consumer Lending industries.
- Professional experience in one or more areas covered by the Analytics Job Family (see list above).
- Intermediate to advanced statistics knowledge.
