Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.
For our Grimbergen Parts Distribution Services Center we are looking for a Logistics Operations Supervisor – Development Program.
You will participate in a program where you will lead teams as Operations Supervisor, support operations managers and gain experience in various warehouse areas over a period of approximately 24 months (through 3 or 4 rotations). Allowing to grow operational knowledge, leadership skills and functional expertise as part of career development in Logistics, Distribution and Supply Chain. You will be working in rotating shifts (early/late).
Role Definition
Provides guidance and supervision to ensure the accomplishment of distribution center goals, including those related to budget and cost structure, in specific areas of the warehouse operation.
Provides staff support to Operations Leadership through analysis and recommendations.
Responsibilities
• Making workflow decisions under the direction of management. Improving service levels and costs for distribution center operations.
• Supervising and motivating distribution center employees through effective coaching and training, clear communication of job expectations, and positive reinforcement of exemplary performance; maintaining a positive distribution center working environment.
• Implementing productivity, quality, and service standards. Resolving problems and identifying areas for improvements. Contributing performance data to strategic plans and reviews.
• Ensuring all equipment receives preventative maintenance and repairs, as required.
• Adhering to requirements and procedures for safety regulations.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor or Masters Degree or equivalent experience required. As a recent graduate you have gained first job experience or are ready to start your professional career.
