Executive Assistants are essential members of the team. In this role, you’ll support a fast-paced communications group that sits at the center of the Studios’ messaging and brand, working alongside a range of teams across the business.
This position reports to the SVP, Communications – Disney Entertainment Studios.
You’ll manage the day-to-day operations for the leader(s) you support. The Studio Communications team handles both internal and external communications for The Walt Disney Studios, inclusive of its seven banners – Disney Live Action, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures – including public affairs, Corporate social responsibility (CSR), Studio Technology, etc.
Responsibilities include calendar management, travel coordination, expense reporting, and general administrative support. Just as important, you’ll build strong working relationships with your executives and key partners across the company. A clear understanding of your executive’s priorities, as well as how different teams across the organization operate, will be important to your success. As a representative of your executive’s office, professionalism and sound judgment are critical.
Responsibilities:
- Handling inbound phone calls and media inquiries
- Managing a complex, high-volume schedule, including time for preparation, travel, and focus
- Understanding and anticipating priorities to manage competing demands, while staying flexible and responsive to last-minute changes
- Scheduling conference rooms, meetings and video chats
- Working closely with senior leaders and their teams, requiring strong interpersonal skills and sound judgment
- Handling extremely confidential, sensitive information, remembering that Disney is a publicly traded company
- Booking travel, including multi-city travel itineraries and briefing documents, considering time zones, weather delays, traffic and capacity
- Assisting with news monitoring/reporting and keeping a finger on the pulse of breaking news
- Helping to keep external facing sites, including The Walt Disney Studios press site, current
- Managing expense reports, subscription accounts and renewals, vendor contracts, and payments
- Note: must be reachable after hours and weekends if/when important issues arise
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 years+ supporting a Vice President or above and/or equivalent experience
- Sharp written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Desire to immerse yourself fully and learn all aspects of your executive’s business
- Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail, as well as the ability to multi-task and prioritize deadlines/deliverables
- Strong proficiency with all types of computers, phones and office equipment, as well as mastery of Microsoft Office programs, SAP, Confluence, Concur, and working in a Windows environment
- A calm head and steady hand to deal with the unexpected
- High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships
- Complete reliability handling confidential, often highly sensitive information
- Some flexibility in your schedule – this role does require availability on some evenings and weekends
- A highly professional demeanor, positive outlook and a can-do attitude
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The hiring range for this position in Burbank is $79,400.00 to $106,400.00 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
