Position Specific Description
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and automation solutions that support IT operations, with a strong emphasis on Operational Technology (OT) and critical infrastructure environments.
- Provide automation and AI-driven services across IT operations within segregated, on‑premises critical infrastructure systems that operate independently from corporate IT networks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders and work directly with a small, specialized team of two engineers to design, build, and support internal tools used by approximately 500 internal customers.
- Develop, implement, and troubleshoot software systems to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance in mission‑critical environments.
- Create, deploy, and maintain automated scripts and services to support system maintenance, operational efficiency, and process improvement initiatives.
- Build and support system integrations and APIs, enabling automation and data flow across platforms and applications.
- Provide expert-level technical support for complex software, automation, and integration issues in a critical infrastructure setting.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation covering software design, configurations, integrations, and ongoing maintenance procedures.
- Use version control and collaboration tools such as GitHub or GitLab to manage, review, and maintain code repositories.
Required Qualifications
- Strong programming experience with Python and C#, including hands-on development in production environments.
- Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and databases as part of automation or application development efforts.
- Proficiency with SQL databases and experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Experience supporting or developing solutions in on‑premises or operational technology (OT) environments, particularly those that are segregated from corporate IT systems.
- Solid understanding of software troubleshooting, system reliability, and operational support in mission‑critical environments.
- Experience using code repositories and version control best practices (GitHub, GitLab, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing applications using Python frameworks, particularly Django.
- Exposure to or experience with AI-enabled web services and cloud-based technologies supporting automation initiatives.
Job Overview
This position installs, configures, and maintains computing infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware products on all computer platforms, including mainframes, workstations, and servers - including web servers - in support of 24-hour-per-day, seven-day-per-week business processes.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Evaluates, implements, and modifies operating system software parameters and product solutions for optimum performance
• Identifies integration and other interface requirements for all supported products and platforms
• Serves as a technical escalation point for technicians and customers
• Troubleshoots hardware, system and application issues
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
