Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s People & Property Services Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Workplace Strategy Analyst.
The primary responsibility of this role is to create succinct strategic plans and workplace strategies by understanding the business needs of the R&D function within Toyota and planning furniture projects in Michigan and California per Toyota standards for interior environments.
Reporting to the Workplace Strategy Manager, this role serves as a workplace expert supporting Corporate Shared Services in delivering best-in-class People and Property Services to create and maintain optimal Team Member work environments.
What you’ll be doing
Oversight of furniture projects for R&D locations in Michigan and California.
Establish and lead recurring meetings with internal customers, stakeholders and vendors to discuss project status, workplace solutions, strategic initiatives, project updates, and problem-solving initiatives.
Gather project requirements, create strategic design solutions and furniture plans per One Toyota standards.
Analyze risk, develop countermeasures and gain consensus from internal customer for office space changes.
Support Office Interiors Renewal projects for R&D locations to bring interior environments up to the One Toyota standard.
Create professional visual presentations for executive review that convey strategic design options and recommendations for decision support.
Verify site conditions and submit CAD data updates into space management system. Update building occupancy information in space management tool to keep data clean.
Enter purchase requisitions in Ariba system for vendor POs and approvals for invoice submittals by vendors.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or related field.
2 + years of furniture expertise, understanding of furniture reuse, facility infrastructure, workplace strategies, building decommissioning, and robust design skills.
Demonstrated work experience in space planning and programming, interior design planning, and project management. Manage customer and cross-organizational relationships (benchmark analysis, workplace solution, and problem solving).
Professional communication, planning, customer engagement, and negotiation skills.
Previous experience reviewing existing conditions to justify and identify the need for new project recommendations.
Travel Expectations: Willingness for up to 20% travel and availability to respond to customer expectations in a timely manner.

Toyota Training that supports Toyota Way guiding principles.
Perform TBP-based problem-solving to resolve issues with systemic, sustainable countermeasures. Regular Genchi Genbutsu.
Experience using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, MS Office Suite, Lucid, Ariba and Power BI.
