Supply Chain Planner (Contract)
Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary
This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in optimizing supply chain operations through data-driven decision-making and strategic planning. Working closely with senior team members, you will help develop and execute forward and reverse supply plans that balance service levels, costs, and inventory positioning. Your analytical expertise will be essential in performing supply and demand analysis, including what-if scenarios, to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. You will collaborate with suppliers to align on build plans, manage raw material planning, and identify excess goods while gaining proficiency in advanced tools and processes. This role requires strong communication skills to act as a liaison between teams, ensuring priorities are clearly defined and executed. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will contribute to process automation, system scalability, and operational enhancements that drive efficiency across the supply chain.
Job Responsibilities
- Utilize supply chain tools to streamline operations, build dashboards, and interpret complex data sets to support inventory and supply decisions
- Conduct root cause analysis and contribute to process automation and system scalability initiatives
- Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams to ensure priorities are clearly communicated and executed
- Assist in raw material planning, product transitions, last-time buys, and buffer strategies
- Support excess inventory mitigation and collaborate on rework and redeployment of goods
- Contribute to planning strategies that balance service levels, cost, and inventory under demand uncertainty
- Design solutions for demand shifts and inventory adjustments
- Partner with suppliers to resolve constraints, align on build plans, and monitor supplier capacity and compliance
- Support mid-term capacity planning and investment alignment with suppliers
- Analyze supply and demand scenarios and support contingency planning efforts
- Help develop and execute supply plans in coordination with factories and logistics teams
- Monitor supplier performance metrics and ensure adherence to build commitments
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience with supply chain, demand planning, operations, sourcing, and manufacturing
- Minimum 4 years of experience with data analysis
- Minimum 4 years of experience with supplier operations and logistics management
- Minimum 4 years of experience with order fulfillment
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field with relevant experience, OR Master's degree in a related field, OR equivalent experience
- Bachelor's degree plus 4 years OR Master's degree plus 2 years in supply chain, operations, sourcing, or manufacturing
- Experience with supply planning tools, analytics platforms, and supplier collaboration
- Supply chain and demand planning expertise
- Advanced data analysis and interpretation capabilities
- Supplier operations and logistics management
- Order fulfillment processes and execution
- Proficiency with supply planning tools and analytics platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional Details
- Location: Remote
- Duration: 3 months
- Pay Range*: $41 - $46.50 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
- Job Status: Non-Exempt
