Job Summary and Qualifications
As a PBX operator am responsible for incoming and outgoing calls. Monitors all emergency alarms and notifies necessary personnel. - Responds to emergency requests for cardiac care units and resuscitation teams by activating pagers, utilizing the public address system, and following established procedures
- PBX operators are also responsible for providing productive clerical support to various departments within the organization that can be performed while answering incoming and outgoing calls and emergency codes. These duties include but are not limited to organizing, labeling, laminating, mask preparations, and other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency
- A minimum of one year of experience on a multiple-position telephone switchboard is required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to identify customer service issues and assist with the resolution of the problem
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Computer literate
- Work independently and is self-directed and motivated
- Communicate with people in an effective, pleasant tone of service
