Immigration Advisor
As an Immigration Advisor, you provide subject matter guidance on employment-based immigration matters to leaders, HR, and associates across the organization. You will coordinate closely with HR business partners, Talent Acquisition, Legal, and external immigration counsel to support compliant, timely immigration processes. Your work helps the company attract and retain critical talent while ensuring adherence to complex global immigration regulations.
What you'll do:
- Advise HR, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on employment-based immigration options, risks, and timelines for new hires, transfers, and extensions.
- Coordinate preparation, review, and submission of immigration petitions and applications in partnership with external immigration counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and timely immigration case tracking, documentation, and status reporting using designated case management tools and systems.
- Monitor changes in immigration regulations and policies, summarize impacts to the organization, and update internal guidance and process documentation.
- Partner with HR and managers to support associates through immigration processes, including visa, work authorization, and permanent residency steps, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
- Support audits and compliance activities related to immigration records, public access files, and document retention requirements.

Experience you'll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in employment-based immigration advising or case management in a corporate, law firm, or similar environment managing high-volume, complex cases.
- Experience managing end-to-end processes for common US immigration classifications (for example, H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, PERM) in coordination with external immigration counsel.
- Experience using case management or HR information systems to track immigration matters, maintain documentation, and generate reports.
- Experience interpreting and applying immigration regulations, guidance, and policy updates to business scenarios and communicating implications to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business, Legal Studies, or related field or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience supporting immigration programs for multiple countries or regions beyond the US.
- Experience developing or delivering training, guides, or communications on immigration topics for HR, leaders, or associates.
- Experience working in a large, matrixed organization with global stakeholders.
How you'll work:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
