Role:
Implements and improves testing, development and validation techniques, processes, tooling and machinery to maximize product quality.
What the candidate will do:
- Resolving issues regarding the design or manufacturing. Ensuring design acceptance and manufacturing readiness.
- Participating in the adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Planning and improving testing procedures and operations to make the test more reliable, efficient and cost-effective.
- Monitoring results, machine and process capabilities and performance reliability.
- Requires a degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum or equivalent experience working in an Engineering function.
Education requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Heat Treatment Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field
- Intermediate English Conversational
What skills the ideal candidate will have:
Project Management
- Solid background in capital projects and/or continuous improvement projects.
- Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor technical initiatives with structured methodologies.
Technical Excellence
- Minimum 3 years working with industrial machinery operations, including thermal‑treatment furnaces and induction heat‑treating equipment.
- Intermediate proficiency in Core Tools and strong command of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for process and quality assessments.
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to optimize machinery performance and ensure process reliability.
Product Testing
- Ability to interpret testing results and support compliance with technical standards.
Troubleshooting Technical Problems
- Strong capability to diagnose and resolve technical issues using problem‑solving tools such as Core Tools and RCA.
- Ability to identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence in machinery and process operations.
The best candidates will also have:
- Advanced Conversational English
- Basic knowledge of general industrial maintenance.
- Basic understanding of destructive and non‑destructive testing.
- Green Belt training.
- Basic knowledge of welding processes (electric arc, friction, TIG).
Additional information:
- Location: Santa Catarina
- This position works Monday through Friday from 6:24 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and requires full schedule availability, including flexibility to rotate shifts and availability to work weekends if needed.
- Availability for international travel up to 20%; visa required.
