Role:
Processes requisitions and provides support for purchasing, supply chain, sourcing, cost, price analyses and contract/purchase order generation.
What the candidate will do:
- Create purchase orders for direct materials.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely material delivery.
- Create and manage PPAP documentation.
- Monitor supplier shipment performance and delivery metrics.
- Track and follow up on tooling development and completion.
- Execute approved price changes in the system.
- Request and analyze supplier quotations.
- Maintain and update purchasing parameters in the system.
- Coordinate SOX Controls audits and corporate audits for Mexico plants.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- English: Advance level (written and spoken).
What skills the ideal candidate will have:
Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Ability to base business actions, strategies, and policies on data analysis and performance metrics.
- Basic knowledge of SOX control audits
Analytical Thinking:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and develop effective alternative solutions.
- Prior involvement in cost savings
Effective Communication:
- Ability to clearly transmit, receive, and interpret ideas, information, and business needs using appropriate communication methods.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office
Procurement Systems Knowledge:
- Intermediate proficiency in SAP, preferably in the CBS module
The best candidates will also have:
- Minimum of 3 years in supply chain areas, preferably in purchasing, procurement, logistics, or manufacturing
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification
