The 2026 City of San Antonio Summer Youth Employment Program allows high school students, between the ages of 16-19, the opportunity to work with various City of San Antonio departments. These temporary summer positions provide clerical, office, project, and/or light maintenance support to an assigned department, while giving participants an opportunity to learn about City functions and services. The program runs for approximately 8 weeks beginning June 15 and ending August 7.
Actual work locations may vary, depending on assignment.
This position is an "unclassified" position and has no disciplinary appeal rights to the Municipal Civil Service Commission. This position is likewise subject to at-will employment status and can be terminated at any time for any reason.
